Parent Consultation Session 鈥� Saturday and Monday

As you may be aware, when 麻豆传媒 College commenced in 2009, we had a different day structure from most schools. The College commenced earlier in the day and finished earlier in the day. Learning from the many benefits that we found with this structure, we would like to begin a consultation process with the College community to assess the appetite for a change to our current day structure. In addition, this consultation will also include considerations in relation to an alternate school calendar (also around an earlier start and finish to the year with a break in Ramadan).

Parent Consultation Session 鈥� Saturday and Monday

The College has now become a significant community of over 940 students, 500 families and 125 staff. We understand that any changes to the school day and / or school year may have a significant impact on community members. For this reason, we will be consulting with all the key stakeholders including parents, staff and students.

The consultation with staff has already commenced. We are now commencing the consultation process with parents. This will involve:

  • Step 1: Information / Consultation Sessions
  • Step 2: Parent Surveys
  • Step 3: Communication of Results

You are all invited to attend one of the following Information Sessions to learn more about the proposals being considered.

  • Saturday, 28 July 鈥� 9:30am : TEAMS Building
  • Monday, 30 July 鈥� 2:30pm : Assembly Room
  • Monday, 30 July 鈥� 6:15pm : TEAMS Building

I understand that these sessions are at short notice. Further sessions can be scheduled for Thursday (2:30pm or evening if needed). Email info@alsiraat.vic.edu.au (please don鈥檛 call) to register your interest for a session on Thursday (please mention afternoon or evening in your email).

A Parent Survey will be sent out to all parents following the Information Sessions.

    Fazeel comes from a commercial background that has seen him work in a multitude of roles across the accounting, technology and educational sectors. His valuable experience in these roles combined with a strong interest in ensuring that the Islamic Community makes a positive contribution to Australia has seen him initiate a large scale project to develop educational centres and facilities for the Islamic community.

    Fazeel is a co-founder of 麻豆传媒 College and has played a key role in developing the business model to establish and grow the College. He has a passion for innovation, creativity, and driving change. Fazeel has guided the direction of 麻豆传媒 College since its inception, overseeing the expansion of its campus and its administrative growth. Prior to establishing 麻豆传媒, Fazeel worked as a senior consultant in implementing Oracle Applications and other business solutions for large organisations, government bodies and educational institutions.

    Fazeel recognises that the journey of 麻豆传媒 has just commenced and is looking forward to working with the College community to further develop the College into an institution that fulfils its strategic objectives.
