News Student Leadership
30 October 2025
On Friday, 24 October 2025, 鶹ý College came together to celebrate our dedicated educators at the TEAMS Building in a heartfelt Teachers’ Day event, organised by the Student Representative Council (SRC). This year’s global theme “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession” highlighted teamwork, gratitude, and the shared commitment between students and teachers.
The celebration opened with a warm welcome from our College Captains, followed by a beautiful Qur’an recitation by Khizar Nauman (Year 7 Hifz). Year 12 student Afra Shehzad reflected on the global theme, while Year 9 SRC Mohaned Dao shared inspiring thoughts on teaching and its value in Islam.
Highlights of the event included:
Special thanks to Year 7 SRCs Adam Fouda, Omar Ismail, Areej Anwar and Year 10 SRC Ilham Akkad for designing Teachers’ Day Appreciation Certificates for all staff, a thoughtful gesture that captured the spirit of gratitude.
The event concluded with a closing du'a by Sheikh Waseem, offering prayers of gratitude and blessings for all our teachers.
On behalf of the SRC Team, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made Teachers’ Day 2025 a memorable celebration of the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our incredible educators at 鶹ý College.
